The location of this hotel was absolutely stunning, surrounded by picturesque scenery and offering a peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax. the accommodation itself was lovely, providing a cozy and warm environment. I especially appreciated the fresh milk in the fridge, which was a nice touch. the host, Bruce, was always available to address any issues or concerns that we had, ensuring a pleasant stay.
One drawback of this hotel was that it took quite a long time for the accommodation to warm up, especially during our stay on the coldest weekend of the year. It was a bit uncomfortable waiting for it to heat up, but eventually, it became a nice and relaxing stay.

This small but cute cottage exceeded our expectations with its lovely location and beautiful surroundings. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The private courtyard garden was a rare find and perfect for enjoying our breakfast outdoors. The cottage was tastefully decorated and full of character, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The hosts went above and beyond by decorating the building with bunting, adding a special touch to our stay. They were also flexible with our arrival and departure times, making the whole experience even more convenient. We absolutely loved the peaceful location and the fact that we were just a short walk away from pubs and cafes. this accommodation provided everything we needed for a perfect overnight stay, with enough facilities and amenities to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable.

Lovely accommodation and location, very peaceful. Fresh milk in the fridge was a great touch. , a short walk to Long Melford for a "decent" curry.
Basic breakfast and cobwebs galore. But hey, who needs a clean room when there's out-of-date milk and boring drinks left for you?

The value for money at Gatehouse Villa was excellent, and the room was cozy and well-decorated. The location was peaceful, and the staff were always available to assist.
The morning meal could have been improved with the addition of a toaster for bread and jams.

The location of this cozy and stylish accommodation is perfect, nestled in a peaceful and picturesque area. the private courtyard garden is a rare find and adds to the charm. the hosts were incredibly helpful and flexible with our arrival and departure times, making communication easy. the bath in the room provided a luxurious touch, ideal for a relaxing soak. the cottage itself was well thought out and tastefully decorated.
While the hosts went above and beyond to provide milk and pastries, it would have been nice to have a wider selection of drinks and food options available, such as soft drinks and bottled water. a toaster with bread and jams would have been a welcome addition to the facilities.
